Exciting New Book Series for Children ages 7-12

Hello,

I’m Cindy DeFuria, a teacher, author, and creator who believes that stories can change lives. After more than twelve years teaching elementary school, I’ve seen firsthand how books inspire empathy, confidence, and imagination in children. That’s what inspired my children’s series, The RBLT Team, starring my four rescue cats — Rocky, Buster, Lucky, and Trouble — who teach readers the importance of kindness and being yourself.

My first book, Rocky Has a Hard Time Fitting In (ISBN 979-8290344379), reminds kids that differences make us special. I’m also the author of The Essential Tool Book for Teaching Writing (Grades 3–5), a resource developed from years of classroom experience to help students grow as writers.

When I’m not writing or teaching, I’m creating through my eco-friendly brands, Wild Crest inspired by my love for animals, the ocean, and kindness-driven living. Through every project, I strive to make the world a little brighter — one story, one student, and one act of compassion at a time.
